General guide: the exact length depends on shoe width, eyelet spacing and lacing style. For production runs, confirm with a physical sample.
Count the holes on one side of the shoe: that number is the pairs. A typical sneaker has 5–6 pairs; a work boot 7–9, sometimes with hooks at the top.
Too short: no firm tie and bad knots. Too long: it hangs, gets stepped on and wears out early. For production runs, confirm the length with a physical sample on the actual shoe.
From 60 to 160 cm in 10 cm increments, plus spools for industrial processes. Lengths are cut exactly to spec.
